Luc Van Nerom graduated with a Master’s in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Brussels. He has built a distinguished career in AI and production management software for the metals industry. Earlier in his career, he was the founder of Artificial Intelligence Systems (AIS) in 1986, where he served as the Technical Director and led numerous AI, planning, and scheduling projects in the steel & process industry. After the merger of AIS with PSI, he has held key roles including Deputy Managing Director of PSI Metals, Managing Director of PSI Metals Belgium, and head of Research & Innovation. He also contributes to product architecture, technical sales and the PSI Software SE’s industrial AI strategy.
