John Anton is the director of the S&P Global Market Intelligence Steel Service and lead ferrous-metals industry analyst for the firm's Pricing and Purchasing Service. In addition to producing regular forecasts of steel production, demand, and price, he is responsible for managing S&P Global Market Intelligence's relationship with major steel buyers in construction, manufacturing, retail, energy, and defense. Clients are global with regular contact to the United States, East and South Asia, and Europe. He earned an economics degree from Florida State University and a law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.
